Krishna Ravindran

Krishna Ravindran has graduated with a Bachelors degree in History from the Loyola College, Chennai. He went on to complete his Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Dr.Ambedkar Government Law College, Chennai (Madras University) and enrolled as an Advocate in the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu in the year 2000. He has also completed his Masters Degree LL.M. in International Legal Studies from the Washington College of Law, American University, Washington D.C., USA.

Upon returning to India, after a one year contract with World Bank, he joined M/s.DUA Associates, one of India’s largest law firms, and practiced in the said firm in various fields of law. He specializes in the fields of Corporate Law, Commercial Arbitration and Constitutional Law. He regularly advises various clients on a wide range of issues right from Incorporation to Winding up of companies. He also advises various clients in the fields of Intellectual Property Rights and is a registered Patent Agent.

V.S. Mannarsamy

V.S. Mannarsamy has completed his Bachelor’s Degree in History from SIVET College, Chennai and went on to complete law from Dr.Ambedkar Law College, Chennai. He enrolled as an Advocate in the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu in the year 1999 and has worked under Shri.P.Devadoss, Advocate, Former Secretary of Madras High Court Advocate’s Association mainly in civil side from the year 1999 till 2003. With eminent guidance of Shri.M. Chandrasekar, Advocate, Former Spl. Public Prosecutor, Trial Court and has gained vast knowledge in the criminal side proceedings.

He is well versed in Criminal and Civil Trials, Consumer Laws and appearing regularly in Family and Rent Control Courts.

B. Manoharan

B.Manoharan has completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from C.Kandasamy Naidu College, Chennai and completed his law degree from Dr. Ambedkar Law College, Chennai. He enrolled as an Advocate in the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu in the year 2000 and is working under Shri.M. Ravindran, Senior Advocate and Addl. Solicitor General of India from the year 1999 till today. He is appointed Central Government Standing Counsel and Counsel for TNSIDCO, Chennai in the year 2009. As the Juinor to Mr.M. Ravindran who is also the Administrator, Anubhav Group of Companies has assisted in the liquidation proceedings before the Company Court, of the Hon’ble Madras High Court from the year 2000 - till date and has gained vast knowledge in the Corporate Law.

He is well versed in Criminal, Writ, Labour and Service laws.

G. Prabhakar

G.Prabhakar has graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from RVS College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore. He completed his Bachelor's Degree in Law from Dr.Ambedkar Government Law College, Chennai (Madras University) and enrolled as an Advocate in the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu in the year 2003.

After enrollment, he joined the office of Shri.D.Balaraman, Advocate who was a Junior Advocate under Hon'ble Mr.Justice D.Raju, Retired Judge of the Supreme Court of India. Prabhakar assisted him in providing legal services to many companies such as M/s.Hindustan Construction Company, M/s.Afcons Infrastructure, PSG Educational Institutions and M/s.Vodafone and many other Infrastructure companies/Financial Institutions. He has been appointed as the Standing Counsel for the Central Government in the year 2009. He is regularly appearing in various arbitral tribunals in respect of construction and Banking litigations. He is well versed in Civil Trials, Consumer Laws, Intellectual property Law and Rent Control Laws.

M. Balaji

M.Balaji has graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from D.G. Vaishnava College, Chennai and completed his Masters Degree in M.Com Business Systems from Madras University. He also did M.A. Criminology and Police Science and has completed his law degree from Rajiv Gandhi College of Law. He enrolled as an Advocate in the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu in the year 2012. T.S. Srinivasan, I.R.S., (Retd.) Senior Consultant on Direct Tax issues.

Mr.T.S. Srinivasan served in the Indian Revenue Service from 1959 till he retired in 1995. He has been Commissioner of Income-tax in Nagpur and Chennai; and Chief Commissioner and Director General, in Chennai and Delhi. He was selected as Member, Central Board of Direct Taxes, Ministry of Finance, in January 1993. He was appointed Chairman, CBDT, in July 1994 and retired in June 1995.

During his career, Mr. Srinivasan has handled the taxation of banks, insurance and foreign companies, investigation and income-tax intelligence, audit, and judicial representation; and as Member of the Central Board of Direct Taxes, he dealt with personnel and service matters, investigation, and tax policy and administration. Mr. Srinivasan led a delegation of tax experts from the Ministry of Finance for discussions with the International Monetary Fund on the development of tax systems and tax administration in India, and to Oman and Morocco to negotiate agreements for the avoidance of double taxation. He would be lending his valuable advise and services regularly on direct tax matters.

S.X.J. Vasan I.R.S, (Retd.) Senior Consultant on Indirect Taxes

A postgraduate in Politics and Public Administration. He joined as a Probationary Officer in Indian overseas Bank in 1974 and served for about 7 years out of which served in Hongkong for 1 year.

He succeeded in I.A.S and Allied services Exam in 1981 and joined Indian Revenue Service (customs and central Excise). Served in Chennai, Trichy, Mumbai, Coimbatore and Bangalore in various capacities. Served as Commissioner of Appeals from 2002 to 2006 dealing in matters of Customs, Central Excise and service tax and again in Coimbatore in 2007 and 2008. Served as Additional Director General of Systems in Chennai and retired as Additional Director General of Inspection Chennai.

Gained rich experience in matters relating to customs, central excise and service tax during the tenure as Commissioner Appeals. He would be lending his valuable advise and services regularly on indirect tax matters.
